A throughflow leak in this dam provides a reservoir to keep the salt seep (indicated) active behind the dam. It has been fenced off and salt bush etc. planted. there is very little improvement. This is not the answer! The dam has to be sealed to dry out the salt scald. Most dams in gullies or depressions leak! There are better methods of siting a good dam.
