PHOTOGRAPH: 'EX-STUDENTS VISIT TO BUNBURY', 1905
1905There are two notes from Mr Whittle providing additional information. Ex-students, possibly from Perth Modern School, soccer team. The photograph was taken on the pitch with several onlookers in the background. Mr Whittle says: 'This photo was in the garage when I purchased property at 11 Hamilton Street in 1967. William Stephen (captain) lived in 11 Hamilton Street all his married life. Previously his parents had lived in York Street immediately behind his own home. I believe a son (Rtd? Stephen) was a State tennis champion.' A later note adds 'A son, 'Chum' Stevens was the only member of the family I met, but I do not know his given names, so have been unable to contact him, although I have tried sources. 'Chum' whom I think would be in his 50's was a one time State tennis champion, so that might be a lead for you.' Handwritten on back of mount: William Stephen, 16 York Street, Subiaco, 15 October 1905.
