1898Lieutenant Henry Bradley MC DCM and Lieutenant Ernest Gower
140 Henry Joseph Bradley enlisted as a Private in Geraldton on 10 September 1914. He embarked with C Company, 16 Battalion from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A40 Ceramic on 22 December 1914. He served with the Battalion in Gallipoli and the Western Front and was successively promoted Corporal, Sergeant and Lieutenant. Awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal and Military Medal (details in links below).
Lieutenant Gower has tentatively been identified as 2479 Ernest Gower of 9 Battalion AIF

His brothers : 2351 Private William Matthew BRADLEY of 28th Battalion returned to Australia, 12 April 1916; and 7713 Private Nicholan Mervyn BRADLEY of 16th Battalion, returned to Australia, 16 January 1919.
