Overview

The four day break for Easter was good for the crew, but the wind never ceased and a large quantity of sand had drifted down into the trench, covering the end of the pipe and filling a metre of sand in the end of the trench nearest the excavator. Before the bulldozer operator stopped for Easter he refilled as much of the trench as was possible so that in the event of a cave-in the pipes would not be damaged. The top of the sand in the back ground is not quite to the level of the original sand hill, the topsoil has to be spread over the top to finish the exercise.
