1985Surveyors Report on WISALTS Conservation System created by PJ (Peter) Kerin.
Comments: This site is part of Katanning West Catchment Flood Mitigation Project. Banks have been designed with a lift at ends to allow for holding capacity of at least 20 centimetres of water above ground level with 20 millimetres of runoff after banks are full to level of pipes. Installed at ground level, pipes to allow retention of as much water as possible. Pipe sizes will be calculated to permit level of water to fall to ground level within 24 hours of filling to 20 centimetres above ground level. Banks to have 20 plus centimetres of clay above ground level after settling. Planning done by P Kerin (WISALTS) and J Burdass (Department of Agriculture). Extra care to be taken with pipe levels and attempt to minimise blockages.
