There is iron lattice work along the top of the verandah. Out the front is a wood picket fence. On either side of the building is a tall tree. They are taller than the building. On the back in blue pen is 'Lauraville/175 Railway Road/Subiaco'. Below this in a darker shade of blue is 'NONMYS FAMILY/Betty Dix'
