Historical information

Kathy Tupper was a Perth based artist. The painting is possibly based on a slide taken by Dr Bryant Stokes, of the Travellers Arms Inn at Bookara (just south of Greenough), as the painting is in reverse. The painting owned by the doctor, based in Subiaco, who was a neurosurgeon with an interest in landscape photography. Dr Bryant is known to have visited the Midwest region. He died in 2026 and the painting was bought from a Perth based auction house later that year.
