Closest match is 592 Trooper Charles John Bruce, 9 Light Horse, killed in action 5 August 1916. No close matches in British war Records. Three possible Mounted Rifle matches in New Zealand records:14067 John McQueen Bruce; 57546 Charles Daniel Bruce and 13/2536 Robert Alexander Bruce.
