Coloured acrylic discs suspended

Historical information

This colourful mobile, Seed Cloud, is suspended from the Wanneroo Library ceiling within the children’s section. The graduated colour of the acrylic discs absorbs and refracts the ambient light, giving the area great vitality. Upon contemplation, artist Rick Vermey reflected that the piece represents:“that classic phenomenon of the library daydream … the seed of an idea has drifted off ... It’s become a thought bubble!”
