Busselton Station
1986Loose rendition in watercolour of the old Busselton railway station yards. It shows the bitumen road sweeping towards the station building. There is a deciduous tree on the left and a peppermint tree on the right. Behind the pepermint tree are rail lines with two rail way carriages between the buildings Railway station has cultural significance for its part of a transport system that linked the region to its port. Currently found on the Busselton foreshore, the station was relocated in 2016 and reopened in 2017. It now houses the Ballaarat Engine, 1871 - the oldest surviving Australian made engine.
