The back row consists of eight boys, who appear to be standing on an elevated platform. The fifth row is made up of nine children who also appear to be standing on an elevated platform, though lower than the row behind them. The fourth row consists of twelve chlidren who appear to be standing on the ground. The third row is made up of ten boys who appear to be kneeling on the ground. The second row consists of nine boys, sitting cross legged with folded arms on the ground. The front row is made up of four boys, laying on their sides. The boys to the left lay on their left sides with their heads toward centre, and the boys on the right are laying on their right sides, with their heads towards centre.
The photograph has several distinct fold/crease and tear lines throughout.
