WISALTS Field Day at Property of HS (Harry) Whittington, 'Springhill', Brookton, Western Australia, Australia - 004

1987
Overview

Final WISALTS field day at Springhill. Harry Whittington explaining how this aquifer dried out in the 1950's due to erosion. Some years after the Interceptor system was installed high up on the hill slopes, the aquifer became recharged. He is standing on the natural barrier which holds the water back, making a good supply for the mills on the farm water scheme. This image is part of the WISALTS (Whittington Interceptor Sustainable Agriculture Land Treatment Society Incorporated) Collection.
