DRIVE-IN PROJECTOR AND DISPLAY

Historical information

This projector is from the Mayfair Drive-in. Opening in 1958 with capacity for 300 cars, the Mayfair Drive-in quickly expanded to accommodate 400. It closed in 1989, but that did not mean the end of life for this projector. It was taken to Manjimup where it continued to entertain until 1993. Now it is part of an interesting display about entertainment and leisure activities from the past.
