Overview

Avon Location 19910 with Avon Location 5781 in the background. Photograph taken from the same position as 1958. Another wheat crop. The soil is evening itself out and becoming stabilised. The crop is better tillered and the flag is very healthy. Note the native trees that germinated on the upper slope between the banks were just visible in 1963. The trees have been thinned, leaving a narrow strip along the lower edge of each bank. It is a different piece of land to that of 1950.
