1919His Majesty's Hospital Ship St George
Built for Great Western Railway to service the Rosslare to Fishguard route until 1913. She was then sold to Canadian Pacific, before it was requisitioned in 1915 to become a British Hospital Ship until 1919. Actual dates of service as a hospital ship were 7 May 1915 to 4 Dec 1917. Staffed by 4 Medical Officers, 4 Nurses and 30 enlisted medical personnel. The St George could accommodate 17 Officers, 115 enlisted patients in Cots, and 146 in berths.
When released back to civilian service she was sold to the Great Eastern Railway for use on their services from Harwich. It was then purchased by the Great Eastern Railway for the Harwich and Hook of Holland route before it was scrapped in 1929.
