Overview

Surveyor's Report on WISALTS Soil Conservation System created by RH (Rod) Sawyer.

Comments: Lake is full of Yate trees, poplar bark bush. No salt or scald problems. The main problem is flooding and waterlogging in area marked [ ] during wet years and flood conditions. The area marked has no real defined waterway with water having a tendency to spread out. Average years do not seem to be a problem. Point A to B is approximately 2.3 kilometres with a a fall of about 2 metres. Throughflows marked in red. Both dams on main waterway seem to be sealed. Throughflows are only 4 feet deep. The channel through to the crab holes was selected from an aerial photo. We tried to cut the crab hole area up with grade banks but found it to be so flat as well as well as uneven. I have seen flood water in this area 2 feet deep over 100 metres width flowing very slowly towards lake.

Review comments: G Bank has to be reversed.
