Surveyors Report on WISALTS Conservation System created by D Hood.
Comments: One grade bank starting from point A continuing around to the creek, another starting at point B to the creek. All the rest level banking with overload points at north boundary or at creek and machinery gaps on farm tracks and fences. Soil types range from metre plus deep sands on perimeter to shallow sands over clay (semi-collapsed) in valley. Larger culvert needed in road to handle water. Level bank at dam site. Topsoil pushed by TD25 uneven along top of the bank indicating the use of too much blade width, this also left a large feather of topsoil in the trench possibly leaving a weak spot in the clay face. The bank appears to be sealed but there is a rocky section which could cause sealing problems.
