c. 1920
Overview

Black and white copy of photograph of four cattle standing in a small lake with small trees and rushes emerging from the water (indicating that the water level was rising at that time) at Jolimont Swamp. The swamp was previously known as Perry's Watering Hole. The shore line is mud and & trampled by the cattle.

Historical information

Joseph Perry ran stock in the area and further west in the area now known as Perry Lakes. He gave his name to the watering hole in Jolimont, however the cattle in this image belonged to the Delamere family.
