PHOTOGRAPH: 'GREETINGS BOWLING GREEN AND PAVILION, SUBIACO GARDENS FROM POSTCARD
c. 1910See 1985.1665
The sepia postcard shows the bowling green, front of clubhouse in the centre rear, with several bowlers seated on the front veranda and three bowlers on a bench to the right of the clubhouse. The clubhouse has a tiled roof with a gable in the middle. The verandah has white posts and a white fascia. To the left of the image is a smaller building with a workman at the door. A white timber fence surrounds the green. A young pine tree shows in the background and there are shrubs and trees behind the fence. The first Subiaco bowling green and pavilion was located in the Municipal Gardens later called the Rankin Gardens. On the top of the postcard are the words: 'Greetings from Subiaco - Bowling Green, Subiaco Gardens, W.A.'
