MANNED HORSE AND CART AT "MOANA" CLAREMONT

1896
Overview

B/W River view toward Bishop's Place with Pt. Walter in the background. Shows a horse and buggy with a bearded man, wearing a 2 piece suit and hat (day wear), sitting in the buggy. There are 5 palm plants in the picture. There is smoke coming from a chimney of what appears to be a factory on Pt Resolution. There is either a jetty or a sand bank reaching out from Pt Resolution. A dinghy floating in the bay behind the horse and buggy. The harnessing gear is clearly distinguished. View appears to be taken from next door (west of Claremont Museum building) possibly area now known as Prior Park.
