Greenhills, Western Australia, Australia - 002
Deep drains near Greenhills. This drain has been dug deeper than necessary at an extra cost per kilometre. The white flag indicates the leaking section of soil, which is causing or assisting the waterlogging in the valley floor. Notice erosion of the topsoil (A Horizon) down to the clay subsoil (B Horizon) and the dense impermeable soil below the white marker.
