Train Ambush
2017People often arranged for food and other supplies to be sent from Perth on the train. Bushranger Frank Thomas was known to throw boxes of goods off moving trains and return later on a stolen horse to go through them. In 1921 packages were found in the scrub at Winchester. All of the food had been taken but other things had been left behind, like corsets for Mrs Mathilve Haussler of Gregorfields Farm in Wincchester.
