Overview

Postcard showing a news clipping with the title 'THE PRESIDENT PRESENTS HIS CUP'. There is a photograph of a group of men. A trophy is seen. The text on the news clipping reads 'Mr Billie Manders, president of the Victory Club hands his cup to a veteran member of the Club, Mr J. B. Creenhalgh, who defeated Mr. Steve Roose in the final of the Club's Christmas snooker handicap. A report appears on page two.'

Reverse: Exerpts from news clippings are seen on the recverse. The titles seen on the reverse read 'OLD TIMERS AT THE TOWN HALL' and 'Edward Henry Street ''Ruins'''

This postcard has come from the postcard and photograph album number one (2004.47) from Thelma Green. The images were removed in 2025, scanned and rehoused in two A4 lever arch files for conservation reason.
