1988Surveyors Report on WISALTS Conservation System created by P (Peter) Woodward.
Comments: Bank surveyed to take water from recharge area around to creek and keep it out of waterlogged area. Plastic may be required where shown. This throughflow is about 150 metres wide and 8 feet deep in places. Future bank is required in north end of bank to put water into its correct creek and protect waterlogged area.
Review Comments: Peter you are getting better at picking the too hard ones. Once again you are showing good overall planning. The objective is on target. Your plan is clearly showing where the low areas are and the possible throughflows (sand seams) these are marked (X) are all potentially needing some plastic assistance to make them impermeable. When coming within the static zone adjacent to the creek where you are going to deliver the water, don't be afraid to make a direct line to the the disposal point (unless it is too steep). Always remember that if your gradient is correct the speed of the flow is controlled by the majority of the bank. No matter how steep or flat you make the final approaches to your delivery point you cannot affect the volume flow rate in the last few metres.
