1982Surveyor's Report on WISALTS Soil Conservation System created by B (Ben) Davey.
Comments: The valleys are mostly york gum which is deep red loam which is saturated and collapsing. Unfortunately the majority of the catchment area is around by neighbours. Soils vary considerably from white gum, gum sheoak and marri. The rainfall is high with north paddock feeding into the Avon River system and the south paddock into the Moore River. Good results will be difficult to obtain in this area without doing a full system, involving most of the catchment areas.
