POSTCARD: HOLLIER'S BUILDING CONTRACTORS TRUCK
Postcard with sepia photo of an early model truck parked in the road outside a California style bungalow which is in the process of being built. The truck has sign writing on it's side saying 'HOLLIER'S Building CONTRACTORS'. There is a ladder leaning against the right hand side of house and an 'A' frame ladder standing to the left of the picture.
On the reverse is printed 'POST CARD / CORRESPONDENCE / ADDRESS ONLY' and the four sides of a space to place a stand has 'KODAK' top and bottom of the rectangle, and 'AUSTRALIA' on both sides. Written on the back in blue ballpoint is 'THIS IS THE BUSINESS OR / BUILDING COMPANY OF / JOHN WILLIAM HOLLIER WHO / WAS A COUNCILLOR FOR THE / NORTH WARD. / CONTACT JAN HOWIE (NEE HOLLIER / 0416036437). Broken diagonal stripes running top to bottom and left to right over most of the reverse.
John Hollier was a local builder and councillor for North Ward. He eventually left Subiaco and moved to Geraldton.
