1988Surveyors Report on WISALTS Conservation System created by PF (Peter) Woodward.
Comments: Water held back in static water area by a granite lock barrier. Bank surveyed to take water around that area and put back into creek. Push bank to 1.1 metres deep.
Review Comments: The overall plan to bypass the natural barrier and reduce the water accumulating in the static zone is very good. Too much emphasis cannot be placed on the static zones adjacent to waterways (X). Flyovers should never be within or near to a static zone. Where a rock barrier is causing some obstruction to the movement of water in a bank it is advisable to move the upper portion of the bank upwards to bypass the rock barrier or if easier go below it. Always keep banks out of the static zone. Remember to use the plastic to go straight across a sunken and static zones.
