Embarked from Adelaide for Egypt on board either His Majesty’s Australian Transport A42 “Geelong” 18/11/1915 or His Majesty’s Australian Transport A13 “Katuna” 24/11/1915. Posted France and captured at Fleurbaix 20/7/1916. Prisoner of War at Schneidemuhl Prisoner of War Camp near Posen Poland. Repatriated to England 4/12/1918 and returned to Australia 5/3/1919
