The original sepia photograph is mounted on an ivory coloured cardboard backing, with a silver scroll effect around the picture. It shows the Coliseum Picture Garden, where the Regal Theatre stands now. Above the entrance and Box Office, signs read 'Every night Auxetophone concert at 7.30' - and - 'Monday Passers By' Advertising the programme are bills posted on either side of the Box Office window. Two 'easels' with posters of the shows stand in the entrance ways on either side of the Box Office. On the left of the image advertising on the fence running along Rokeby Road side reads "Coliseum Picture Garden. Complete change of programme Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Open every night". Adjacent to this are the Coliseum Dining Rooms, Grill Roo and & Confectionary. On the Hay Street side of the theatre are the Coliseum Refreshment Rooms. The next shop is the business of Will. P. D'Arcy, House Land Estate Agent, Accountant, Attorney, Auditor. On the other side of him is the Subiaco branch of the R.S.L. Beyond that runs the continuing fence of the Coliseum Picture gardens. The Ticket Box shown in this photograph is on permanent display at the Subiaco Museum.
Three gentlemen stand out the front of the theatre.
