Private Daniel William FITZSIMMONS (WX1043) C Company 2/11 Infantry Battalion 6th Division, 2nd Australian Imperial Forces, having a beer with a soldier. Private FITZSIMMONS enlisted 23/22/1939 was captured at Crete in 1941, became a Prisoner of War of Germany at Stalag 52 IXA and returned to Australia for discharge 24/8/1945
