Overview

A small sepia photo of Mr and Mrs Twine in formal dress of the day.
They are standing to the right of a heavy drape with a tassel.
Mary Ann Twine (1810-1885, formerly Mrs Buckley, nee Sturges), is dressed in a long hooped dark gown with a long draped dark lace shawl over her shoulders and a bonnet and ribbon tied under her chin. A parasol is in her left hand, pointing towards the floor.
James Allen Twine (1813-1905), on the left, is sporting a grizzled beard and moustache, and wearing a dark lapelled jacket, light waistcoat, a dark shirt with white collar, cravat and trousers of a lighter shade than the jacket.
Mrs Twine is holding Mr Twine's left arm.

Historical information

.James Allen Twine farmed Newgain and Maisemore in the Avon Valley.
