Overview

B&W photo. Large metal wheel on cement blocks located inside corrugated iron shed of the Toodyay Power House.
Wooden beams are visible above the wheel. Two smaller wheels, to the left of the main wheel, are connected to it and belts would be attached to them to drive machinery.

Historical information

In 1927 the Toodyay Road Board purchased the power station (located at the former flour mill owned by Daniel Connor) and continued to manage it until Toodyay was connected to the State power grid in 1955.
