YARDAGE BOOKS
2025As part of the 2025 Australian Interstate Teams Matches Golf Australia organised the preparation of Yardage Books for reference by the players from both the Women's and Men's tees.
The books are pocket sized guides that include details of each hole such as:
- Distances (from the tee and to the green)
- Hazards (hazard lengths and carry)
- Greens (dimensions, slopes, mounds, , etc)
- Observations (ground condition, reference points on the course)
- Photographs and schematic guides
The books have a light cardboard cover, the first page a legend of the various criteria provided, and 18 double sided pages, one for each hole on the course.
The preparation of the books required survey work to be completed prior to the event to obtain the measurements and observations, as well as physically marking the fairways to identify reference points referred to in the books. From that aspect, as the reference marks fade with time and ground conditions change, the reference value of the books will also degrade.
