Overview

Bushranger Frank Thomas was recaptured in Perenjori 140 days after escaping from Geraldton Gaol but soon escaped again from Buntine. Police from Mingenew hid at the Carnamah railway station ahead of the next train arriving. Frank appeared but quickly dropped the box he was about to steal and bolted - but tripped on the railway points charger. With the threat of being shot, Frank surrendered.
